Cruise to the Fleadh
Boats, Barges & Traditional Tunes to Make a Splash at Connacht Fleadh Cheoil 2025
The River Suck will come alive with music and colour this week as part of the Connacht Fleadh Cheoil celebrations in Ballinasloe as members of the Freeman Cruisers Ireland, in association with Ballinasloe Area Community Development, Féile Cheoil Larry Reynolds and the IWAI River Suck Branch will cruise up the river to Ballinasloe Marina on Friday July 4th at 5:00 pm bringing traditional Irish music to the water in a vibrant and unforgettable spectacle.
Musicians from across the region will take to the decks, performing live as they travel along the scenic route, creating a moving session that pays tribute to Ballinasloe’s rich heritage as a market town and river port.
Spectators are encouraged to gather at the Marina to enjoy this one-of-a-kind floating performance, which blends the tradition of Irish music with the town’s beautiful waterways. A trad session will take place on the banks of the Marina until 7:00 pm.
The river music cruise is part of a packed week of events, which will take place throughtout the town.
