100 Years of Sligo Recordings

This lecture will pay tribute to two of the great Sligo fiddle players, Michael Coleman and James Morrison.

It will focus on the beginning of their recording careers, one hundred years ago in 1921, with emphasis on their stylistic traits, featuring demonstrations on what made their playing unique.

Every evening at Fleadhfest, we will stream a LIVE concert from the centre of Sligo. These concerts will feature some of the biggest names in traditional Irish music, as well as some up and coming bands and musicians taking part in Scoil Éigse.

We invite musicians from all around the world to learn new tunes with our expert tutors at Scoil Éigse, which will take place online throughout Fleadhfest.
